Man Caught Trying To Break Into Cars, Shed In Wrightstown: Police

A man who was caught trying to break into a shed and cars after an alleged theft from the Newtown 7-Eleven has been arrested, police said.

WRIGHTSTOWN TWP, PA — A man who was caught trying to break into a shed and cars after an alleged theft from the Newtown 7-Eleven has been arrested, police said.

According to police, officers were dispatched to Thrush Lane in Wrightstown Township shortly after 9 a.m. after a resident reported a man was trying to break into cars and a shed. When police arrived, the man, identified as 35-year-old Brian Jordan Mulligan, was located in the neighborhood.

Police confirmed Mulligan was the suspicious person listed in other reports from earlier that day, including a theft from the Newtown 7-Eleven.

Mulligan has been charged with criminal trespass and retail theft.

He was processed at Northampton Township Police Department and arraigned in front of Judge Petrucci. He was sent to Bucks County jail after being unable to make bail, which was set at 10 percent of $50,000.

His preliminary hearing is scheduled for Dec. 3.
