Man Killed In River Road Motorcycle Crash

A Bucks County man was killed in a motorcycle crash over the weekend in Upper Makefield, according to authorities. William Ottey, 42, of Levittown died in the crash, which happened Saturday around 5:45 p.m. along the 1500 block of River Road.

Police said Ottey was traveling southbound with a group when he lost control of his motorcycle while attempting to pass. When police arrived, Ottey was unresponsive in the roadway and had suffered fatal injuries. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Due to cars stopping because of the crash, a second motorcycle collided with the back of another southbound moving vehicle. The passenger on that motorcycle suffered a leg injury and was transported to St. Mary Medical Center for treatment by Central Bucks EMS.

The accident is still under investigation by the Upper Makefield Township Police Department.
