“Once a year we fill the garage and driveway with a million cool things - and keep our fingers crossed for good weather. It’s hard to let go of some of the items, but it’s for a cause that is really near and dear to our hearts,” said Christine Edmonds, president of Newtown-based non-profit A Love for Life.

A Love for Life is a non-profit corporation formed on December 3, 2012 and founded by Christine Edmonds whose husband Kevin Edmonds died at the age of 51 on April 10, 2012 after a two-year battle with pancreatic cancer. Kevin's sister Nora died in 2009 from the same disease.

A Love for Life is dedicated to raising funds for pancreatic cancer research. The average survival rate for stage IV pancreatic cancer is a little over six months.

“We want to help change that number,” said Edmonds. “We are honored to be partnering with the Abramson Cancer Center at The University of Pennsylvania. One hundred percent of the money that we raise will fund cutting edge research here in Philadelphia. We celebrate life, friendship and adventure.”
