NEWTOWN TOWNSHIP, PA — McCaffrey's Market in Newtown is looking to sell alcohol. A liquor license transfer hearing will be held Wednesday during the Newtown Township Supervisors meeting.
According to Township Manager Kurt Ferguson, McCaffrey's has submitted an application seeking to operate a cafe with seating and the "service of alcoholic beverages to the public." The cafe is described to have a menu to include sushi, pizza, a hot bar and more (these items are already currently sold in the store's food court.)
Alcoholic beverages are anticipated to be 2 percent of total sales of the cafe, the application states.
