Newtown, PA — March 22, 2026 — The Rose Group, a leading restaurant management company that owns and operates 54 Applebee’s Grill + Bar restaurants across Pennsylvania, Maryland, Delaware, and New Jersey, is pleased to announce the promotion of Melissa Oliver to Talent Acquisition Manager.

Melissa joined the company in July 2014 and quickly advanced within her home restaurant in Scranton, PA, earning promotions to Hospitality Manager (2016), General Manager (2018), and Managing Partner (2023). Throughout her tenure, Melissa has consistently demonstrated operational excellence, achieving Golden Apple status multiple years in a row. In 2025, she was honored as The Rose Group’s General Manager/Managing Partner of the Year, representing the organization across the broader Applebee’s system.

In addition to her operational success, Melissa has played an integral role in developing future leaders. She has served as a Training General Manager and has taught multiple courses through the company’s internal development program, the Rose Career Academy.

Melissa was selected for this role due to her strong results-driven mindset, paired with an unwavering commitment to integrity and doing things the right way. As Talent Acquisition Manager, she will oversee the full-cycle recruitment process, implement data-driven hiring strategies, and partner with leadership to build meaningful career pathways for team members. Her priorities will include ensuring a best in class candidate experience, strengthening community partnerships, and ensuring serving as a thoughtful gatekeeper of talent, ensuring we attract, select and retain individuals who align with our values and drive our organization forward.

Melissa currently resides in Scranton, PA, and enjoys travelling, especially to warm, beachside destinations.
