More Mischief Night Pranks Reported To Newtown Twp PD

Newtown Township Police have received additional reports of vandalism on Mischief Night.

NEWTOWN, PA — Newtown Township Police have received additional reports of vandalism on Mischief Night, which is the night before Halloween.

Last week, police reported several local residences were targeted by vandals who inflicted property damage. On Friday, police said two more reports were received.

In addition to the incidents previously reported, a Snapdragon Drive resident and another Alexanders Court resident said they were targeted.

The Snapdragon Drive resident reported her mailbox had been vandalized with silver spray paint sometime during Mischief Night. The Alexanders Court resident reported that her mailbox, valued at $375, had been sprayed with paint and shaving cream.

  • A Jane Chapman Drive home had toilet paper thrown on the front lawn and draped over the mailbox. A political sign had been ripped out of the lawn and spray painted, and there was spray paint damage to the driveway and entire mailbox as well.
  • A car at the Skyview Way residence had been spray painted and a mailbox had been spray painted and filled with condiments.
  • An Alexanders Court resident had shaving cream and spray paint on their mailbox and car.

Investigation into the incidents is ongoing, according to police.
