Born and raised in Langhorne and entirely self taught over the last 15 years, Thomas has pulled his musical influence from artists like Johnny Cash, Bob Dylan, Hank Williams, Doc Watson and The Beatles. Blending genres ranging from blues and rock, to folk and bluegrass music, he delivers an exciting live performance with a fierce rhythm hand.

He continues to play live locally in the Greater Philadelphia area and has recently expanded into North Carolina, Florida and more of the eastern seaboard. If you can't make his performance on Thursday night, he'll be performing on Friday evening at Triple Sun Spirits on South State Street at 8 p.m. Admission is free.

The series continues August 29 featuring Bucks County singer/songwriter Meg Russell in a performance sponsored by Giovanni’s Fine Fashions and Custom Tailoring.

During the concerts, the Opus Elite office will be open and offering complementary refreshments and an air-conditioned retreat from the heat.“Concertgoers are welcome to come in, enjoy the snacks, use the restroom if they need to or just to cool down,” said Gatta.

Concertgoers are welcome to bring their own chairs and blankets, order some food to enjoy from a nearby restaurant and find a spot on the sidewalk to enjoy the music, said Gatta.

Gatta said while each performance is free and sponsored by Newtown businesses, he encourages attendees to make a donation to the Opus Outreach Foundation. The foundation supports local families in need, he said.

“There are no administrative costs so every dollar raised goes to the foundation and helping people in the community," Gatta continued. "We also ask that you support our business sponsors because they are the ones providing the free music.”
