New Occupant Revealed For Former Saloon: Guru's Indian Cuisine

NEWTOWN, PA — A new occupant has been revealed for the former Saloon restaurant: Guru's Indian Cuisine is moving.

The news, reported this week by the Newtown Advance, was confirmed to Patch by a representative of Guru's.

According to the Advance's report, Guru's will move from Cambridge Lane to the Sycamore Street location sometime this December. The restaurant will serve unique cocktails. Additionally, they will be transforming the upstairs into a banquet room, the Advance reports.

Chef Ashni Kumar Guru will remain in the kitchen, cooking up traditional dishes as well as "unique fusions of these classic recipes with Indo-Chinese and Mexican culinary influences," the restaurant says on its website.

The Saloon closed for good in March after 10 years in business.
