The Saloon Closing For Good This Weekend
The Saloon, on Sycamore Street in Newtown, will close for good this weekend.
The Saloon, a restaurant located on Sycamore Street in Newtown, will be closing effective this weekend.
The restaurant made the announcement on Facebook Tuesday morning.
Owners Dean, Debbie and Katrina Evangelou say they're sad to announce that they'll be closing by Sunday, March 18. The last night the restaurant will be open is on St. Patrick's Day.

"After nearly 10 years, this was a very difficult decision and a sad moment for us and our staff. Yet, we also feel very blessed to have had the privilege of operating our restaurant in this wonderful Newtown community and thank everyone for your loyalty, support and patronage over the years," the post said.
The owners also operate Square 1 Pub in New Hope, which will remain open.

The news comes as many new restaurants have opened in town, including Harvest and Rocco's at the Brick.
