New Restaurant, Thyme Bar And Grill, Opens In Newtown
The brand new eatery replaces the former Black Horse Tavern on State Street.

NEWTOWN, PA — Great news for restaurant lovers in the Newtown area: a new eatery has opened its doors.
Thyme Bar and Grill, which is located on State Street at the former location of Black Horse Tavern, officially opened on Aug. 23.
Their menu includes lunch and pub fare - crab towers, ahi tuna, lobster roll, duck quesadilla, and more - ranging from $10 to $15. , in addition to dinner entrees.

Dinner options range from jambalaya and rack of lamb to king crab cakes and pork chops, and are priced in the $23 to $32 range.
The kitchen is led by Bucks County resident Gregory Messer, according to their website. Messer has been working as a chef in kitchens around the country for more than two decades.

For drinks, they feature a wide range of 22 beers on draft, in addition to a spread of signature cocktails and traditional favorites.
Thyme is closed on Mondays, and opens at 11:30 a.m. the rest of the week. They close at 10 p.m. on Tuesday and Wednesday, 1 a.m. Thursday through Saturday, and 5 p.m. Sunday.
