A man who was shining a flashlight in the windows of a Newtown Twp home he had burglarized has been arrested and charged, police say.

A 35-year-old man has been arrested on charges of burglary and prowling after police say he was caught in the act at a residence on Lower Silver Lake Road late Tuesday night.
According to Newtown Township Police, officers were called to the property around 11:50 p.m. for a report of a suspicious man who was shining a flashlight into a back window of the home.
When officers arrived, they located Michael David Veit of Whitehall on the side of the property. He was carrying a flashlight, and was in possession of "several" items that belonged to the homeowners, police said.
