Newtown Elementary Honored as Distinguished School
Newtown Elementary was one of 96 that ranked in the top five percent of Title 1 schools in the state.
Newtown Elementary School has been selected by the Pennsylvania Department of Education as a Title 1 Distinguished School for 2014-2015, the district announced Thursday.
The school, located on Wrights Road in Newtown Township, was selected for the honor by The Division of Federal Programs and the Pennsylvania Department of Education.
According to information from Council Rock School District, 96 schools in Pennsylvania were selected for the honor. The schools ranked in the top five percent of Title 1 schools in the state.
