Newtown Holiday Parade 2015 Set For Dec. 6
The parade, sponsored by McCaffrey's, starts at 2 p.m. at Stocking Works on South State Street

The Newtown Business Association has set the date for its annual Holiday Parade. This year’s parade is set for Sunday, Dec. 6.
The parade, sponsored by McCaffrey’s, starts at 2 p.m. at Stocking Works on South State Street. From there, it goes north to Washington Avenue and makes a left turn, then turns right onto Sycamore Street. The parade ends at the corner of Sycamore Street and Durham Road by the Green Parrot restaurant.
The event features community groups, holiday floats, music, and appearance by Santa and more.

Participants will be awarded based on the following categories: Best Theme-Float (F), Best Theme-Walking Group (WG), Best Decorated (F), Most Creative (F), Most Creative (WG) Best Small Group, Best Musical Group, Crowd Favorite, Best Spirit, and Best Overall.
