Newtown Library Company Warming Up For October 5K
The library is now taking registration for the annual event, which is held in conjunction with Newtown Market Day.

NEWTOWN BOROUGH, PA — The historic Newtown Library Company is taking registrations for its annual Library 5K Run/Walk to be held on Saturday, October 5.
The Race For Reading is again being held in conjunction with Newtown Market Day, an old harvest tradition where long ago local farmers brought their crops to town to sell while enjoying a day of festivities and contests.
"The 5K aims to promote community engagement and raise funds for our historic library's programs, initiatives, operations and maintenance," said library board president Donna Gusty. "By participating, you will not only be supporting a great cause but also gathering with fellow community members to kick off the 48th Annual Newtown Market Day."
