NEWTOWN TOWNSHIP, PA — A 43-year-old Newtown Township man has been charged with felony offenses after police said he made "inappropriate" contact with a teen through social media, including requesting photographs.
According to police, Brian J. Garity is charged with corruption of minors and criminal use of a communication facility.
Newtown Township detectives said Garity, who is an acquaintance to the victim's family, sent the child inappropriate messages, including requesting photos.

Garity was arraigned and released on $100,000 unsecured bail.
A preliminary hearing is set for June 10.
