Newtown Quaker Meeting to Hear Talk on “Loving Thy Neighbors”
Tucker and Sameer Manchanda will talk about “Loving Thy Neighbors” at 9:45 a.m. on Sunday, November 13, at the Newtown Quaker Meeting adult class on 219 Court Street (www.newtownfriendsmeeting.org).
Tucker and Sameer were recently married in the Newtown Friends (Quaker) Meetinghouse.

Tucker Manchanda is clerk of pastoral care for the Philadelphia Yearly Meeting Young Adult Friends group and a former science educator. She is passionate about comparative theology and likes spending time with her dog, Zeno.
Philadelphia Yearly Meeting is a Quaker faith community of 11,000 area members in 103 local Quaker meetings in Pennsylvania, Delaware and New Jersey which emerged from the founding of Pennsylvania by William Penn, an English Quaker, in the late 1600s.

Sameer Manchanda is a convinced Quaker and a software engineer. He loves going for walks and volunteering at the Buckingham Peace Fair.
Tucker and Sameer plan to lead an interactive program called “Love Thy Neighbor”, consisting of queries, think-pair-shares, and discussion about love.
Some queries/topics/activities to be included are:
- How do you show love?
- Different religious perspectives on community
- Love and integrity
- Love as a basis of ministry
- People you have succeeded in loving
- People you find difficult to love
Newtown Friends Meeting co-founded by "Peaceable Kingdom" painter and Quaker minister, Edward Hicks, in 1815, is open to all who wish to attend. Regular First Day Education classes (Sunday School) for all ages begin at 9:45 a.m. and Meeting for Worship begins at 11 a.m. Childcare is available.
