Newtown Theatre Offering Veterans Free Snacks For WWII Movie Showing Friday
"Hacksaw Ridge" is directed by Mel Gibson and tells the story of a Army soldier who saved 75 lives.
The Newtown Theatre will be treating veterans to a token of appreciation this weekend in honor of Veterans Day.
The theater will be giving out free popcorn and drink to any and all U.S. military members, activity duty, reserves, national guard, retired, and veterans.
Military members can get the free snacks when attending the 7:30 p.m. screening of "Hacksaw Ridge" on Veterans Day, Friday, Nov. 11.

"Hacksaw Ridge" is Mel Gibson's latest film. It tells the story of Army combat medic Desmond Doss, played by Andrew Garfield, who was a conscientious objector during WWII. Doss saved 75 other soldiers without firing his weapon once during the battle of Okinawa, earning himself the Medal of Honor.
The Newtown Theatre is located at 120 N. State St., Newtown.
