Newtown Township Seeks To Fill Opening On Veterans Committee

Are you a local resident with an interest in veteran's issues? There is an opening on the Newtown Township Veterans Committee.

NEWTOWN TOWNSHIP, PA — Are you a local resident with an interest in veteran's issues?

Newtown Township is seeking to fill an opening on the Veterans Committee. The Veterans Committee is an advisory committee that communicates and coordinates with veterans and veterans organizations. It meets monthly on the fourth Thursday at 7 p.m., except June and July.

Some events the committee may help assist with include: Memorial Day Parade, Veterans Day, honoring Veteran achievements, Bucks County Tour of Honor, Veterans Discount Program, escorting home returning active military and Veterans, organizing events for local Veterans, providing information on Veterans affairs, and more. The deadline to submit a letter of interest/resumes for consideration to fill an unexpired term (until December 31, 2018) is noon on Oct. 24.
