NEWTOWN, PA — The Coffee Room in Newtown is the latest local business offering freebies to federal workers during the government shutdown.
The State Street business on Tuesday invited furloughed government workers to the shop for a free coffee. Furloughed workers just need to show their government ID. The Coffee Room is located at 15 S. State Street, Newtown.
The coffee shop is one of a handful of local businesses who have stepped up in a show of support for federal workers who are unpaid in the now month-long government shutdown.
