Newtown's Harvest Unveils Summer Menu
Check out some summer dishes now being served at Harvest in Newtown.

Harvest Seasonal Grill & Wine Bar, which has a location in Newtown, has unveiled its new summer menu, sources with the restaurant tell Patch.
Some new items include a heirloom tomato salad, citrus-grilled halibut, and "impossible" meatballs, which are vegan. The chef has also revamped his summer crab cakes, and introduced a new Cuban black bean and rice bowl, restaurant representatives say.
Some summertime favorites that were served at the restaurant's other locations last year have surfaced on the local menu. Those include the nutty watermelon salad (pictured above), BBQ pulled pork flatbread, seared sea scallops, and summer tuna tartare.

"Our goal when developing these new dishes was to really raise the bar and take quality, flavor and ingredients to the next level. We are really happy with these additions," Executive Chef Josh Short said, according to a press release. "There are just layers and layers of delicious flavors."
Owner Dave Magrogan said the menu has been out for about a week, and so far it's been a success.

"Our relationship with the Lancaster Farm Fresh Cooperative (LFFC) continues to grow stronger and stronger, and they're providing us with the freshest and tastiest fruits and vegetables for us to feature on our summer menu," he said.
