Newtown's Holiday Open House Tour Is Saturday

Get an inside look at some of Newtown's most prestigious properties at this weekend's Holiday Open House Tour.

NEWTOWN, PA — Newtown's Annual Holiday Open House Tour will be held this Saturday, Dec. 2. The tour, which gives attendees an inside look inside many local homes and historic buildings decorated for the holidays, will be held from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

It's the 55th year for the tour, which is organized by the Newtown Historic Association.

You can reserve your tickets online for pickup the day of the event, or purchase tickets ahead of time at The Newtown Book & Record Exchange, 102 S. State St., Newtown.

On the day of the tour, tickets will be available for purchase at the Half-Moon Inn, Court Street and Centre Avenue, and at the Stocking Works, 301 South State St. Children under the age of 12 are free.

  • Edward Linton House, 1873 – Rose Crane, 106 S. Chancellor St
  • John Watts House, 1900 – Keith and Keyna Crawford, 116 N. Congress St
  • Buckman Place, 1849 – Steven and Gloria Cugine, 119 N. State St
  • Horace Fenton House, 1885 – Chris and Johanna Hager, 237 S. Chancellor St
  • Joseph Firman house, 1860 – Kevin and Rebecca Kerchner, 148 Liberty St
  • Horace Fenton House, 1886 – David Leder and Cristie Prater, 250 S. Chancellor St

The following public buildings are included this year as well:

  • The Stocking Works, 301 S. State St
  • Newtown Fire Association, 14 Liberty St
  • Newtown Friends Meetinghouse, 219 Court St
  • Newtown Library Company, E. Centre Ave and Congress St
  • Half Moon Inn, Centre Ave and Court St
