Following a number of pedestrian accidents, including several fatalities along the Sycamore Street corridor, the township has been making improvements, including adding new signage, repainting crosswalks, improving sight distance and adding new striping.

Also in the works is a change in the speed limit from 35 to 25 along Sycamore Street. To do that, PennDOT will need to step down the speed limit along Route 532 from 45 to 35 mph leading into Sycamore Street.
