Obama Endorses Perry Warren For State Rep
The District 31 candidate says endorsement shows the strength of his campaign.
Perry Warren, the Democratic candidate vying to become a Pennsylvania State Representative to District 31, was recently endorsed by President Barack Obama in his election bid, according to Perry's campaign.
Warren, a member of Newtown Borough Council, announced his candidacy in January this year and is hoping to fill the seat left by Democrat Steve Santarsiero, who is vying for a seat in Congress.
"It is truly an honor to have been endorsed by the president of the United States," warren said in a release. "President Obama's endorsement demonstrates the strength of my campaign. The president endorsed me because I want to end gridlock in Harrisburg, support sensible gun safety laws, serve as a champion of education and our children and future generations, and protect the LGBTQ community and others from discrimination."
