Police In Bucks Co. Planning Roving DUI Patrols On New Year's Eve
"If you drive hammered, you'll get nailed," the Bucks County District Attorney said.

Police in Bucks County will be conducting roving DUI patrols on New Year's Eve and into the early morning hours of 2019, authorities with the Bucks County District Attorney's office said.
Officers from Plumstead, Upper Southampton, Warrington, Middletown and Richland townships will hit the streets at 10 p.m. Monday, Dec. 31. Officers will patrol their respective jurisdictions for intoxicated drivers until 3 a.m. New Year’s Day, authorities said.
“Please celebrate the New Year safely with friends and family. Don’t drink or do drugs and drive,” said Bucks County District Attorney Matthew Weintraub. “Police departments all over the county are on high alert for DUIs tonight. If you drive hammered, you’ll get nailed.”

Anyone planning to celebrate by drinking should also plan to stay off the road or find a sober ride home, authorities advise.
The enhanced DUI patrols are funded by a PennDOT grant.
