Along its journey, the relay is remembering the fallen and drawing attention to and publicly recognizing the nation's heroes, including members of the emergency services (fire, police and emergency medical technicians) and the U.S. Armed Forces who put their lives on the line every day for others.

Thousands of volunteers are participating in Carry The Load’s National Relay that spans 20,000 miles, 48 states and 85 rallies. The five relay routes will converge at the Dallas Memorial March on Memorial Day weekend.

"We have seen firsthand the powerful impact Carry The Load has had on service members and families of those who have lost loved ones,” says Stephen Holley, co-founder, president and CEO of Carry The Load and Veteran U.S. Navy SEAL. “Our volunteers tell us that participating in Carry The Load has given them a deeper connection to those who serve and a greater appreciation for the sacrifices made for our freedom."

Founded by Veteran U.S. Navy SEALs, Clint Bruce and Stephen Holley, Carry The Load started as a mission to restore the true meaning of Memorial Day. Today, it has grown to include more than just the nation's military heroes and more than just the one holiday. Carry The Load works to bring all Americans together to participate in honoring the nation’s heroes every day.
