Newtown Quakers and Supporters to Continue Silent Vigil For Racial Justice
On Friday, July 3, members of the Newtown Quaker Meeting community and others will join together for the third public silent vigil for racial justice in recent weeks in downtown Newtown.
Participants will meet at 4:30 p.m. at the Quaker Meetinghouse, 219 Court Street and walk to the corner of State and Center where they will meet with others from the Newtown community for a silent vigil 5:00 to 6:00 pm in support of Black Lives Matter and racial justice.

People are encouraged to “Come. Bring a Friend. Bring a sign. Wear a mask.”
The group intends to gather every other Friday at the same time and location to continue the call for justice for all. The next meeting date will be July 17. Everyone is invited to join the vigil.
