Road Closures Sunday For Holiday Parade In Newtown
Newtown's Holiday Parade is this Sunday. There will be some parking restrictions and road closures. Details:

NEWTOWN, PA -- The annual Holiday Parade is this Sunday, Dec. 3 in Newtown and police are advising residents there will be some parking restrictions and road closures. Sponsored by McCaffrey's, the parade kicks off promptly at 2 p.m. at the Stocking Works on South State Street.
Parking restrictions will begin Sunday at noon.
There will be no parking on S. State Street from Penn Street to Washington Avenue. Also, there will be no parking on N. Sycamore Street from Washington Avenue to Durham Road. If you're parking in the Newtown Borough Municipal lot, you can only exit via Centre Avenue and go west toward Sycamore Street.

Road closures will begin at 1:30 p.m.
The following roads will be closed:

- S. State Street from Barclay to Greene
- Washington Avenue from Chancellor to Sycamore
- N. Sycamore Street from Washington to Durham
- The Jefferson Street bridge and the Washington Avenue bridge will be closed
- The Centre Avenue bridge will close at the start of the parade
The parade route is as follows: From South State Street, the parade continues north to Washington Avenue and makes a left turn, then turns right onto Sycamore Street. The parade eventually ends at the corner of Sycamore Street and Durham Road.
