NEWTOWN, PA — Pickering Manor is bringing back its signature Sips n’ Suds event live and in person at The Rafters Venue in Newtown on Saturday, November 12.

This is the first time since their first annual Sips n’ Suds event in 2019 that Pickering Manor is able to invite guests to sip on craft-fully brewed beers, delicately poured wines and distilled spirits aged to perfection while enjoying the company of friends, family and supporters.

“Due to the pandemic the event was forced to take a virtual presence over the past few years, but even then, our sponsors, donors, family and friends stood by our side and offered tremendous support, and for that we are forever thankful,” says Pickering Manor CEO Michelle Knobloch. “We are ready and excited that we are able to get together again with our community, most of whom have truly become our Pickering Family,” she adds.

Kicking off the event at 6 p.m. will be a cocktail hour with exclusive tastings from Newtown Brewing Company and a special presentation of the Sidney T. Yates Award to long time Pickering Manor supporters, Allen and Betty Fidler. The Sidney T. Yates award is an award given to a donor for their many years of vision and support generously donated to Pickering Manor and its residents, the people of Newtown and its surrounding communities.

The event is set to be a fun and casual atmosphere with live music from The Retrograde Band (Matt Setzer formerly of Bridge Beat Duo), dancing, gourmet food stations, silent auction, and wine pull. And of course, the highlight of the event, regional craft beers, as well as distillery and wine tastings from our vendors: Newtown Brewing Company, FitVine, Triple Sun Spirits, Desiato Vineyards and Cardinal Hollow Winery (as of Oct. 13).
