NEWTOWN, PA — A steakhouse has received approval to transfer a liquor license for a Newtown location.

The Newtown Township Board of Supervisors on Wednesday approved the liquor license transfer for Steak Bar by Shula's, which is planning to open in the Village at Newtown shopping center.

According to township officials, the exact location where they'll operate in the renovated shopping center is not yet known, but it is believed they'll be in a new section that will be erected in place of the Bank of America. The current Bank of America building is slated for demolition.
