This incident is similar to a rash of thefts in Newtown Township on Nov. 15, when police were dispatched to a daycare and a gym "almost simultaneously" for reports of thefts from cars.
Police at the time said it appeared to be the work of the Felony Lane Gang — a criminal enterprise that targets gyms, daycares, and sports fields to steal purses and wallets from cars.

In those thefts, the victims' car windows had been broken and purses had been taken. It is not clear if Monday morning's thefts in Doylestown are related to the Felony Lane Gang.
Witness statements and surveillance video indicates the suspect may have been driving a gray or silver newer model Dodge Durango, police said.
Anyone with information about the thefts or the suspect vehicle should contact Doylestown Township Police at 215-348-4200.
"We urge everyone to keep your vehicles locked and your valuables out of sight, or even better out of your vehicles, at all times," Newtown Township police said at the time of the November thefts.
