Toll Rates Set For Scudder Falls Bridge

The Delaware River Joint Toll Bridge Commission on Monday approved a schedule of toll rates for the Scudder Falls Bridge, which will take effect when the first span of the replacement bridge opens in 2019.

Tolls will be collected in the southbound direction only -- driving along I-95 from New Jersey across the bridge to Pennsylvania -- through an all-electronic toll collection system consisting of E-ZPass tag readers and high-resolution cameras, according to the DRJTBC.

Here are the fees that were approved, according to the DRJTBC:

Passenger vehicle with E-ZPass: $1.25

Passenger vehicle - E-ZPass Commuter Discount: $0.75 (A 40-percent discount is automatically applied for DRJTBC-affiliated E-ZPass tag holders in a month when they make 16 or more toll-direction trips across Commission toll bridges.)

Passenger Vehicle Toll-by-Plate: $2.60

Passenger Vehicle with trailer in tow E-ZPass: $2.25

Passenger Vehicle with trailer in tow E-ZPass Commuter Discount: $1.35

Passenger Vehicle with trailer in tow Toll-by-Plate: $3.60

Light Trucks (Includes trucks, buses and other vehicles with two axles eight feet and above in height.)

2-Axle Truck with E-ZPass: $7.00

2--Axle Truck with E-ZPass Off-Peak Discount: $6.30 (10% off 9:01 p.m.-5:59 a.m.; commercial E-ZPass Tag)

2-Axle Truck Toll-by-Plate: $8.35

Heavy Trucks (Includes trucks, buses, large recreational vehicles and other vehicles with three or more axles. Per-axle E-ZPass rate is $4.25; Toll-by-Plate rate is $4.75 per axle.)
