Upper Makefield To Celebrate "Community" This Weekend

First ever Community Day will feature Touch A Truck, sports exhibition games, community information booths, and refreshments.

UPPER MAKEFIELD, PA — Upper Makefield will hold its first Community Day on Saturday, Sept. 21 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Brownsburg Park, 1455 River Road, New Hope 18938.

"We'll have food, fun and lots of games. We are encouraging all of our residents to come out - young and old. There will be plenty to do and lots of fun," said Yvette Taylor, who chairs the township's governing board of supervisors.

The day's events will include a "Touch A Truck" experience for the kids, including fire trucks, dump trucks, police cars and an ambulance for the kids to explore; pizza, chips, donuts, coffee and juice; and .

The day will also feature a slide and an obstacle course for the kids and information booths spotlighting the township's volunteer committees.
