WEATHER UPDATE: Flash Flood Watch Starts at Noon
A Flash Flood Watch is in effect in Southeastern Pa., including in Bucks, Delaware, Chester, Philadelphia and Montgomery counties.

Starting at noon, a Flash Flood Watch is in effect in Southeastern Pennsylvania, including in Bucks, Delaware, Chester, Philadelphia and Montgomery counties.
The National Weather service said the Flash Food Watch is in effect through Tuesday morning. Residents should be watching the forecast so they are prepared to take action in the event a flash flood warning is issued, the NWS said.

After heavy overnight rains Sunday, showers and thunderstorms will develop again in the afternoon, producing “excessive short duration rainfall.”
As much as two inches an hour in some areas can be expected.

“If these amounts of rain materialize, dangerous street and highway flooding would occur.”
Flash flooding is a “very dangerous situation,” according to the National Weather Service.
