Where To See Santa In Newtown This Christmas Season

NEWTOWN, PA — Santa Claus will be back in Newtown this holiday season after a couple of years of COVID-19 restrictions that made it difficult for kids to crawl up on his lap and make their case that they’ve been good boys and girls over the last year.

Visits and pictures with Santa are at the heart of many families’ holiday traditions, but the coronavirus pandemic gave them a lump of coal. Malls and other places took social distancing measures in both 2020 and 2021 to help contain the spread of the virus, moving Santa meet-ups largely online.

Virtual visits are still an option in many places, but there’s nothing quite like seeing jolly old St. Nick live and in person. In Newtown, kids have several chances:

• Newtown Borough Tree Lighting and Santa's Arrival. Friday, Dec. 2. Newtown Fire Association parking lot at Liberty Street and Washington Avenue. Gathering starts at 6 p.m. with Santa's arrival at 7 p.m. After lighting the tree, Santa will greet youngsters on the porch of the fire station. The event is sponsored by the Newtown Experience Group.
• Santa's House in front of Opus Elite Real Estate at 16 South State Street will be open in downtown Newtown Borough during the holiday season. Hours are 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 3, and 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Friday and Saturday, Dec. 10 and 11 and 17 and 18.
• Breakfast with Santa. Shady Brook Farm, Stony Hill Road, Yardley. Nov 27, Dec 3, 4, 10, 11, 17 and 18 with seatings at 9 and 11 a.m. Click Here To Reserve.

Santa arrived Nov. 12 at Bass Pro Shops and Cabela’s Santa’s Wonderland and will hold court through Christmas Eve. Reservations are encouraged.

Santa will be at Macy’s stores in New York City, Chicago, San Francisco, Philadelphia, Atlanta, Boston and Orlando. In Bucks County, Santa will be at the Oxford Valley Mall through Dec. 24. Reservations are required, CLICK HERE FOR DETAILS
