Wreath Donations Needed To Honor Local Veterans
Wreaths Across America is coming up and there are not yet enough wreaths to honor all veterans buried at Washington Xing National Cemetery.

UPPER MAKEFIELD, PA — Organizers of Wreaths Across America at the Washington Crossing National Cemetery are making a plea for donations as the annual event is approaching and there are not yet enough wreaths to honor all veterans buried there.
"As of today, we only have 6,494 wreaths donated," organizer Geri Lewis explained. As the cemetery has approximately 11,000 veterans buried there, "we need additional donations or we won’t be able to honor every veteran at our cemetery," Lewis said.
Since the wreaths are made and shipped from Maine, all donations must be made online by Dec. 3. To sponsor a single wreath, the cost is $15. You can donate in increments of two, five, 10, or more. Click here to make a donation and sponsor a wreath.

The Wreaths Across America ceremony will be held on Saturday, Dec. 15 at the Washington Crossing National Cemetery. The ceremony starts at 11:15 a.m. During the ceremony, wreaths will be laid on the veterans' graves. Everyone is welcome to come and lay wreaths, Lewis said.
Parking is limited so those who are attending should carpool if possible. Off-site parking will be available at Grace Point Baptist Church and Ascension Lutheran Church. Shuttle buses to the cemetery start at 9 a.m.
