Yoga@Market Debuts Saturday At Wrightstown Farmers Market
It's super casual and people can bring a mat or just join in a communal stretch, organizers said.
WRIGHTSTOWN, PA — The first ever Yoga@Market takes place on Saturday, Sept. 14 from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. at the Wrightstown Farmers Market.
The event is a collaboration between the Wrightstown Farmers Market, Elle Kaplan of TrueYoga, Ginger Solomon of Blossom Ayurveda, and the Newtown-based pancreatic cancer research charity, A Love for Life.
"Elle has been hosting monthly donation yoga classes for our non-profit for over a decade,” said A Love For Life’s president Christine Edmonds. “We have always dreamed of having an outdoor gathering with music and lots of friends - and the opportunity to be part of our local farmers market is so exciting.

"There is no fee to attend the market or to take part in our yoga-for-every-body classes," added Edmonds. "It’s super casual and people can bring a mat or just join in a communal stretch. Donations are welcome if people would like to support our cause but we are also happy to raise
awareness and share information about all the hard work being done by our Penn researchers."
"I’ve been so happy to be part of this organization since the very beginning,” said Elle Kaplan. “Together we can make a difference - one breath at a time. In community we dance, we move, we breathe, we stretch. We support one another for a greater purpose, and we support A Love for Life."

Everyone is invited to visit the market, which is held every Saturday from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. on the grounds of the Middletown Grange Fair at 576 Penns Park Road in Wrightstown. There are a variety of vendors from local area farms and small businesses as well as a new group of vendors including YogaSix and Ignite Fitness studios. There will be custom silk-screened tank-style t-shirts for sale for $20, with 100 percent going to the Abramson Cancer Center at Penn Medicine.
"We are thrilled to announce our partnership with Yoga@Market," said Cheryl Gilmore, the manager of the Wrightstown Farmers Market. "Eating local and staying active go hand in hand for a healthier lifestyle. By integrating yoga into the market experience of supporting local farmers and producers, we’re encouraging a holistic approach to well-being while supporting a crucial cause: pancreatic cancer research."
