Authorities are offering a $10,000 reward for information related to the sexual assault of a runner at gunpoint in Norristown on Tuesday.

NORRISTOWN, PA — Authorities are offering a $10,000 reward for information related to the sexual assault of a runner at gunpoint in Norristown on Tuesday.
The startling incident occurred in the quiet Norristown Farm Park while a 19-year-old woman was out for a run on Tuesday morning, officials said.
Officials responded to the scene at 10:50 a.m. The woman, who had called 911 immediately after the assault, was taken to Einstein Medical Center for treatment.

The suspect was described as a black male wearing a black mask, dark sweatshirt, and armed with a handgun, the DA's Office said.
Authorities searched the area but could not find the suspect.

The reward has been posted by the Montgomery County District Attorney's Office, the West Norriton Police Department, and the Citizens Crime Commission of the Delaware Valley.
The $10,000 is good for any information which leads to an identification an arrest of the individual responsible for the assault.
