NORRISTOWN, PA — Authorities said that 10 local residents were sickened by carbon monoxide poisoning early Monday morning.
The incident occurred on Green Street in Norristown in the dawn hours of Feb. 4.
Everyone in the house began vomiting, and residents began to put together what might be wrong.

The house had CO detectors, but the batteries were either dead or missing.
Officials said that if residents had not begun to get sick, they may have never woken up.

Norristown Fire Department and Plymouth Ambulance responded to the scene.
The victims are recovering.
