Art Installed Across Norristown Neighborhoods

Straight from the galleries of the Philadelphia Museum of Art, some of the world's finest art will be on display in your neighborhood.

The Philadelphia Museum of Art’s new initiative that will bring art to the streets of Norristown launched officially on Thursday, as art was installed throughout the borough.

“Inside Out” will bring sixty high-quality replicas of some of the Museum’s - and the world’s - greatest works of art to neighborhoods in Pennsylvania and New Jersey.

Works of art will be in weatherproof casing and located within a short distance of each other in parks and in bustling downtown neighborhoods.

Aiming to help residents ”encounter art in unexpected places,” some featured painters will include: Claude Monet, Georgia O’Keefe, and Paul Gaugin.

In Norristown, the art will be in 10 different locations, as noted on the map above, including:

The Philadelphia Museum of Art has launched a new initiative that will bring art to the streets of suburban communities throughout the region, including Norristown.

“Inside Out” will bring sixty high-quality replicas of some of the Museum’s - and the world’s - greatest works of art to neighborhoods in Pennsylvania and New Jersey.

The program, which runs from May through November, will come to Norristown beginning on August 20.

  • Chestnut Hill and Mount Airy, Philadelphia
