'Bloody Photos' Of Brutal Murder Could Be Used In Norristown Stabbing Trial
Luis Daniel Martinez Perez, 22, is accused of stabbing a 43-year-old man and leaving him to die in a Norristown alleyway.

NORRISTOWN, PA -- Questions have arisen regarding the evidence allowed to be used in the trial connected to the stabbing death of a 43-year-old man in Norristown on April 19.
Luis Daniel Martinez Perez, 22, has been arrested and charged with first and second degree murder in the death of Christopher Thomas, according to the Montgomery County District Attorney's Office.
Perez faces first degree murder charges.

Now, according to The Times Herald, the judge must determine if photos the victim and the autopsy are "inflammatory" or represent crucial evidence.
The report states that the motion filed by the DA's office says "Color photographs are especially necessary to show the depth and complexity of the injuries. Furthermore, color photographs will be necessary to aid the jury in observing the severity and distinct nature of these wounds.”

Thomas was found at about 12:17 a.m. on April 19 lying in the street on Jamison Alley in Norristown.

He was taken to Einstein Hospital and pronounced dead shortly thereafter, the DA said.
An autopsy confirmed he died from multiple stab wounds, according to the DA.
