Boil Water Advisory Lifted In 11 Montco Towns

The three-day boil water advisory ended in Montgomery County late Wednesday night after officials received water quality test results.

NORRISTOWN, PA — The boil water advisory that impacted tens of thousands of residents in 11 different municipalities across Montgomery County was lifted late Wednesday night. Test results from samples taken on both Tuesday and Wednesday led officials to declare the water safe to drink.

The advisory was initially issued on Monday morning after a water main break in Norristown impacted the entire system. Pennsylvania American water said that the break could have exposed the drinking water to disease-causing organisms.
