The water is now safe to drink in Norristown and Plymouth, officials said early Wednesday.

NORRISTOWN, PA — The water is now safe to drink in Norristown and Plymouth, officials said early Wednesday.
A boil water advisory which was initially issued on Monday evening was lifted on Wednesday night. Officials with Pennsylvania American Water had been concerned that a water main break had led to an increased possibility of contamination of the supply.
The Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection tested the water on Tuesday and Wednesday, and authorized the decision to lift the advisory.
