Boy Found $5,000 On Street In Bridgeport, Turned It In To Cops
Police were then able to return the money to its rightful owner.

BRIDGEPORT, PA — A Bridgeport boy was commended by borough council after he found $5,000 on a local street last month and turned it in to police.
Jeffrey Brennan was walking near Greenfield Alley when he found the cash, police said. He immediately brought it into the station.
Police were then able to return the money to its rightful owner shortly thereafter.

"Jeffrey showed incredible character by submitting this money to Bridgeport Police," the borough said in a statement, saying he made the "right and moral decision" and demonstrated "amazing character."
During a Bridgeport Borough Council meeting on March 12, Police Chief Todd Bereda presented Jeffrey with a commendation.
