Breaking: Ambulances and fire crews responded to a fire and hazardous materials incident in Upper Merion on Wednesday afternoon.

UPPER MERION, PA — Ambulances and fire crews responded to a fire and hazardous materials incident in Upper Merion on Wednesday afternoon.
The incident was first reported at around 1:27 p.m. on 761 5th Avenue, according to Montco PA Active Incidents.
Stanley Steemer, a carpet cleaning service, is located at that address, just off W. Valley Forge Road and a block from W. Beidler Road.

The Montgomery County Hazardous Materials Team, King of Prussia Volunteer Fire Company and Lafayette Ambulance Squad, Inc. are among the crews on the scene. Responders from Pennsburg, Horsham, Gladwyne, and Good Will joined them.
The nature of the incident and the cause of the fire are not yet clear.
