Details Emerge In Fatal Norristown Hit And Run: Cops
A speeding car struck the 67-year-old as he was getting out of his vehicle, and then fled the scene, police said.

NORRISTOWN, PA — Police are searching for a suspect in a hit and run in Norristown that left one man dead Sunday night.
The incident occurred at 6:24 p.m. on the 600 block of Astor Street.
A vehicle, possibly a red Ford Focus, was speeding when it struck 67-year-old Samuel Jackson, a resident of the area, as he was getting out of his own car.

The vehicle did not stop after hitting Jackson, speeding away from the scene, police said.
Police officers arrived on the scene within minutes and provided emergency care for Jackson, and he was taken to a nearby hospital. He was pronounced dead shortly thereafter.

An investigation is ongoing. Detectives are reviewing surveillance footage from the area in an attempt to track the suspect down.
