Dog Wardens Canvassing Montgomery Co. Homes For Licenses
Violators could face fines of up to $300.

NORRISTOWN, PA — Dog wardens are canvassing neighborhoods around Montgomery County this week to ensure all animals are licensed and up to date on shots.
The state officials will specifically check for rabies vaccinations, and will ensure that all licenses are current.
Beginning the week of May 6, the state's Bureau of Dog Enforcement is selecting random areas around the county and knock on doors. They will be dressed in full uniform and will be driving state trucks marked "State Dog Warden."

If a resident answers the door, wardens will explain who they are and why they are there.
All dogs older than three months must be licensed on Jan. 1 each year. Violators can face fines up to $300 for each violation.
