Hey moms and dads, this Grab and Go Kids Planner is for you! It's a weekly calendar of child-friendly and family activities, and new places to try out with children.

Look for the kids’ planner each Wednesday, and help us build it up with your own suggestions and tips—just add them to the comment box.

Where and When: Montgomery County-Norristown Public Library, 1001 Powell St., Norristown; Feb. 23 and 29, and every Wednesday, from 4 to 5 p.m.

Why go: This is not your run-of-the-mill “Sailor Moon” discussion! Get ready for a quick education on the "Dragonball," "DragonBallZ," "Naruto," "Dr. Slump" and "North Star" series, as well as popular anime films.

Where and When: Montgomery County-Norristown Public Library, 1001 Powell St., Norristown; Feb. 24 from 4 to 5 p.m.

Why go: The library opens the computer lab for teens 12 to 18 who want to get their game on. There are 16 spots available.

Where and When: Montgomery County-Norristown Public Library, 1001 Powell St., Norristown; Feb. 24, 10:30 to 11 a.m.

Why go: Storytime features stories, songs and games for ages 3 and up.

Price: Free


Where and When: Greater Norristown PAL, 340 Harding Blvd., Norristown; Feb. 24 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., and 6 to 8 p.m.

Why go: Montgomery County Community College and Greater Norristown PAL are sponsoring a college fair. During the day, a session will be held for Norristown eighth-graders only. The evening session is open to the public, and high school students and parents are encouraged to attend.

Price: Free

 

Where and When: Montgomery County Community College, 340 DeKalb Pike, Blue Bell; Feb. 27 at 3 p.m.

Why go: As part of the college’s ongoing Lively Arts Series, MCCC will host the Philadelphia Young Artists Orchestra, a special ensemble of the acclaimed Philadelphia Youth Orchestra.
