Hundreds Victimized In Vast West Norriton Fraud Operation: Cops

WEST NORRITON, PA — A massive fraud operation that involved dozens of stolen credit cards and hundreds of fraudulent checks has been busted in West Norriton, police announced. One woman is in custody. It's believed she had hundreds of victims, most of whom are from the local area.

An investigation between the U.S. Postal Service and West Norriton police, informed by the work of Detective Michael Hougnon, began back in July.

The investigation ultimately led them to Nina Rosini, 39, who resides in the Arrive Valley Forge apartment complex near the Schuylkill River.

Inside Rosini's apartment, more than 50 stolen, cloned, or fraudulent credit cards were found, as well as hundreds of stolen documents, faked tax records, stolen mail, stolen and fraudulent checks, and numerous cell phones, lap tops, drivers licenses, and tablets, police said.

There were also key fobs and keys for several buildings, as well as devices used to make and print credit cards, police said.

Drugs and weapons were found in the apartment as well.

Many of Rosini's victims lived in her apartment complex and in nearby municipalities, police said. The investigation continues.

Rosini was charged with more than 50 counts of identity theft, receiving stolen property, theft, drug device act, and related counts.

She was booked at Montgomery County Correctional Facility. A preliminary hearing is forthcoming.
