KOP Apartment Building Evacuated Following Sunday Fire

A fire in an apartment building in King of Prussia knocked out power Sunday, as temperatures stayed in the 90s.

KING OF PRUSSIA, PA — A fire in a King of Prussia apartment building led to power outages and an evacuation Sunday.

The incident occurred at some time after 5 p.m. at the 251 Dekalb apartment building.

According to a report from 6ABC, nearly 600 residents were without power until 8:30 p.m.

The fire reportedly began in the basement of the west tower.

Dozens of residents were given shelter elsewhere for the evening with the help of Red Cross.
