Liquor License Approved At New Via Veneto Pizza In Norristown

The "new old" pizza parlor's location can now serve liquor.

NORRISTOWN, PA — The "new old" location of a Norristown pizza parlor can now serve alcohol after a motion to give Via Veneto Pizza a liquor license passed thorugh municipal council.

Approval was given after a public hearing, followed by a vote. The 1803 Markeley Street location could potentially open by the end of the year, the company said.

"Welcom back," council members said of the family-owned pizza joint.

The new location will be under a slightly different moniker, Via's Pizza.

Founded in 1973, Via Veneto was previously headquartered at 1803 Markeley, but moved to 2688 Dekalb Pike in West Norriton years back.
